painting vans...
May. 3rd, 2006 05:33 pmhi all! i'm new...i searched the memories/FAQ but couldn't find anything exactly pertaining to my question. I am interested in painting basic vans slides to make something similar to these:

basically i need something that will allow me that level of detail and still be somewhat durable, minimal cracking/peeling. i know a lot of that (at least, the detail part) is in the technique, but any recommendations for types of paint or sealants to use? do you think regular painting acrylics would hold up, or should i do a trip to Pearl?
any suggestions are appreciated. thanks!
