May. 6th, 2006 02:59 pmHi! I've been lurking for a while now, admiring everyone's lovely stuff and delving into the memories repeatedly... I thought it was finally time to post something!
I've recently learned to knit. I haven't done anything complex yet at all, but I'm going to be getting there soon. I made a cell phone cozy for myself yesterday (I made one a couple of weeks ago, but it was awful). And I've also got a stenciled bag!

My phone really isn't worth having a cozy... I love this yarn, too. It's Bernat Frenzy. I found it at the dollar store, of all places!

Virtual non-existant cookie to anyone who recognizes both of the people in the stencil. It's just a basic bag from walmart ($1.50, and I needed something to stick some yarn in, so it was perfect). I'm looking forward to doing more stenciling!

This is what I did with my last, incomprehensibly boring and lonely day of spring break this year. I'd found an old clock on the "free table" (at my school, it's just this table that people put stuff on, and you can take whatever you want. *shrug*). It didn't come apart like craft clocks do, so to put it in the record I had to cut a slit through half of the record and slide it in. Then, because I am just that much of a geek, I made a fake Bill Nye the Science Guy record label. Yes, it's actually a working clock when I decide to stick the battery in.
I also had a question. I've been wanting to try a hat with my Lion Brand Homespun. I don't have double-pointed needles, though, so I'd like to try something that's flat with a seam to sew up.... I've also never done a hat before. I've done a bunch of browsing but I haven't found anything quite right... If you know of any good online hat patterns (preferably something done on larger needles, like 13 or 15 (US size)), I'd love to be directed there!
