Duct tape <3.
May. 8th, 2006 10:31 pmI haven't posted in here in a while, but I've been lurking. I've got an awesomely awesome* project I'd like to share with you all! It may not be as awesome as most stuff here, but I'm proud of it.

This is how it started. A really dusty old jewellery case that was apparently made or bought in 1966, so says the bottom. I've had it many many years, and once tried painting it when I was 11 or something. xD Through the years and many moves, I lost the other drawers and it got banged up. It needed a makeover. :]

Closeups of the inside. These are what gave me the most trouble... removing the shelves...

... but I totally showed it who the boss was, in the end! :D

Shelves out and doors off. Major work is done. Hurrah. Time to start duct-taping!

The top is finished. :]

And the rest is done! I have some of my music and game collection modelling nicely, in the summer line of plastic. :]

View of the side. I dunno if the red will stay... probably not. I just didn't have glue and I needed to keep it together. :D

View of the front and top. Yay.
I also have a lot of candy boxes covered in duct tape, duct tape wallets, and a "mail monster" which was *supposed* to be used for mail in the dorm, though my roommate threw everything in there... garbage, mp3 player, clothes... I swear I'm not addicted to duct tape. :] I do have some other craft projects in the works. Various crochet and knit things, mainly.
*Okay, it's not really awesome. But it killed time and fed my duct tape obsession... plus it's useful. :D
