A while back, I posted a project that was a result of a total impulse purchase from Wal Mart. It was a tote bag and I asked for feedback on how to finish it, and if it was even worth finishing in the first place. First of all, thanks so much for all the feedback I got from you great internet peoples. There were so many good ideas. This community is definitely where all the cool kids hang!
Anyway, I finally finished the bag and I thought I'd show the results...

This is the finished product and a detail shot. I decided to go the "emo lyric" route ("Trucker's Atlas" by Modest Mouse, if your interested... and wouldn't they be considered more "indie" uh, I don't know) and embroider the text on there. But, more importantly, kept it simple overall. Generally, I don't like my bags to be too busy and the heart already has a lot going on in it. The fabric markers don't really cover the roughness of the cheap canvas well, so I thought that was a good way to go to get real legible type. Unfortunately, embroidery takes forever! Kudos to all you embroiders out there! You have such patience!

Pin or no pin? I'm kinda leaning towards pin. It's just cool and also "emo" and a little random. In short, it totally works for me.
I have to say, I'm pretty satisfied with it. Plus, I already have an idea for another one!
