Don't look if you happen to be my swap partner for April over at
full_moon_swaps, kay? XD
Since I finally uploaded pictures, this is going to be a photo dump of sorts. Stuff I've been working on, made, swapped, or whatever.
Here's the bag and dice for a friend's baby shower. I didn't make the dice, but I made the bag. They're plush dice, a d4, d6, d8, 2d10 (percentile), a d12 and a d20. I made the bag HUGE, far bigger than what was necessary, because I wanted the parents to be able to carry around any baby stuff they wanted in it, or big toys for the baby when they needed to go traveling, or anything like that. I think I made it too big. Doing this for another friend, and will be making a smaller bag, more of a backpack style instead of the current 'dice bag' style with strap for carrying. Maybe next time it will be for the little one to wear on his back once he grows to be a toddler. XD I love having gamer geek friends with children. PS, ignore the toes in that one picture.

Here's something I made for the April swap in the group I'm in. They're a set of magnets, and they're vegetables. They're made from felt, embroidery floss, quilter's batting, seed beads, and buttons. I give you.... The Children Of The Earth. ::cue dramatic music and ominous thunder::

It's not just the Corn anymore...
Starring...

Bilwisschnitter – He is probably the one that started the entire uprising, being of the Corn himself. Most Children of the Corn were satisfied with terrorizing the world alone, and never thought to turn otherwise civilized produce to their nefarious cause. Bilwisschnitter (nicknamed Bil) was raised in Germany, and thought that it was only right that he find others to join him in his evil plot. He wishes to take over the world and destroy all herbivores (and possibly all of the omnivores and carnivores in the process). His arch nemesis is Arnica, as she is the persistent bloom who does all that she can to keep him imprisoned in the fields. During the full moon, he has a bad habit of howling and will occasionally let his silks grow wild.
Co-Starring...

Psycho the ‘Shroom – Psycho never really was one to be nice to his neighbors. In his youth, he started out by picking on the others in the mushroom patch. Slowly but surely he began to nibble on them as well. It wasn’t long before he as addicted, and his neighbors were putting in ‘missing mushroom’ reports with the local authorities.

Ra – Once, Ra was a great figurehead of the Egyptian culture. He was a powerful radish, who lived a long, prosperous, and domineering life. His stature was such that a pyramid was erected to honor his passing and guide him into the afterlife. He was embalmed, and sealed away with thousands of radish, onion, and garlic brethren. Thousand more pitiful humans, including some grand pharaoh whose name Ra can still not remember, were sealed with him in order to be his faithful servants. Years passed, and decades spilled into centuries. The embalming procedure took its toll on Ra, and transfigured him from the wonderful radish he once was into the onion we see before us today. He misses the blushing pink of his flesh, but to peel away his wrappings would make any man cry. Deep down, Ra remains a radish, but outwardly he portrays nothing but the cruel, harsh manners of an onion. Because of this, he joined the Children of the Earth in their quest to conquer the human world. Ironically, Ra detests the sunlight.

Lilith, Striga, and Cain – This deliciously decadent trio were outcast by their own kind for their cruel and carnivorous habits. They could not resist the allure of both wine and juice, however. It was in their nature, and they thrived on it. The three banded together closely, and went on a search to find a place where they could be accepted. It is not surprising that they took the offer to join the Children of the Earth so readily. When faced with starvation or one’s choice of the finest fruits and wines, drank from traitors or salvaged from the homes of evil humans, how could they refuse? They had the added benefit of being a bane to humans. A single prick, a drop of Lilith’s or Cain’s juice, and a human would die on contact. Not bad. They’ve been nicknamed the “Bloodberries,” and it is easy to see why.

Well, that's that group. Now, on to what I made for this month's swap. When I make this next time (for there WILL be a next time) I'm going to use card stock or something far thinner than the cardboard suggested. I had to resize the lid entirely for it to fit! It's a sewing kit!

This, by the way, is supposed to be a fabric thimble. Not sure how well it'd work though.

I'd love to hear what people think of everything and anything. XD
