May. 18th, 2006 04:53 pmI was recently feeling inspired to create some hand made cards, so I decided to try embroidering them, and the results turned out much better than I expected. I'd never embroidered anything before in my life!
My first attempt:

Edit: Thanks for all the positive comments! It was actually REALLY easy to do. I just printed out the design on the back of the card stock (I used microsoft word clip art, haha), glued some pretty shiny paper to the front of it, and punched all of the holes first, along the outline of the pictures. Then I just stitched through the holes that were already there - tedious, but really easy to do. Then I just had to glue another piece of card stock to the inside to cover up the ugly back side.
