I had a few sweet dates. Now what?
May. 26th, 2006 01:20 pmI just ate some fresh Medjool dates and I've lined up the pits along my desk because I'm fascinated with the way they look. They kind of look like little wooden cockroaches. Or burls.
I'm tempted to turn them into a necklace or buttons.
I'm curious if any of you have ever drilled holes in date pits. If so, can you tell me if it worked out nicely? I have a dremel somewhere in my basement and i think it would work well.
I've never drilled holes in any kind of bead before, so tips would be appreciated. I'm mostly worried about them splitting or breaking when I try to drill them.
Thanks in advance for your tips!
