--my hand painted drum



I found this djembe used, at my favorite used-instrument-store. It was one of those vegan remo drums, it was affordable, and beat up and needed a home. Covered in a vinyl pattern I began to rip the stuff off of the wood. Then I coated it in a black acrylic, free-styled the flames and did layers in modge podge and then a high gloss polyurethane. I couldn't be happier.
