crafty baby shower gifts
Jun. 1st, 2006 11:06 amso i am done finally with my best friends gifts for the baby shower i am hosting!
diaper bag- she is going to be a breastfeeding momma so wanted something small over the shoulder. i modified one of my patterns to make this one. outside and inside pockets ( the inside pockets are not that big- enough for id and sunglasses) she loved it, but told me to take it home so she can get it for the baby shower.

bumper pads for the crib- the poorboy knit i used for the inside is so so soft!

changing pad- i used this paper that disappears in water to print the baby's name on to do a straight stitch embroidery since i dont have a fancy machine.

and this soft book is for my childhood's friend baby

i also made some no sew fleece baby blankets
my next projects are making me another purse since i gave one of mine away.
washclothes for the baby ( i am thinking simple squares, however do not have a serger so suggestions are well welcomed)
i bought a really cute book on baby gifts. there are a few projects i would like to do- but need to resize the patterns ( the only copy machine i have access to is at my hubby's office) so any suggestions of rescaling patterns, please shout this way.
also for the baby shower i had these paper boxes and "mini purse" cards i made about 2 years ago, when i was going through my paper phase. i am using them to place small prizes inside for the guests. one of the games is pulling a number out of a bowl and you get the prize that goes with that number. this way everyone gets a "game prize". i also have leis for everyone and take home seashells. most of the prizes are jewellery that i have made.
