Hi, I'm one of those lurkers that you're always reading about. I've been checking in on this community for about 6 months, but just recently decided to start posting on other people's entries. This entry will contain pictures and the pattern that I use to make wristwarmers/wristbands,and a question about casting resin.

These are quick and easy. First for the wristband because I know a lot of you had questions. But this requires that you have circular needles or doublepointed needles. If you're not sure how to use double pointed needles you can find a tutorial here double pointed needle tutorial.

Once you're comfortable with that you can begin by casting on 24-39 stitches depending on how large your wrist is. 39 should be enough for a larger wrist. I've got a large wrist and I cast on 34-39 stitches depending on how loose I want the wristband.

The next thing you do is knit 24-26 rows. I use 24 rows because it's shorter and looks good on my wrist. If you like longer wristbands you can just double the amount of rows.

Then once you've got it looking the way you want, you can cast off. Leave about 3-4 inches on and weave in the extra excess with a needle.

It will look something like this:

This purse was made from a cigarbox. That's my husband's hairy hand. The handle is glow in the dark.

This question is for all my resin pros. I really want to make a coaster. But it's 54 degrees here, and I was wondering do I really have to wait until it's 75 degrees before I cast the coasters?
