craftgrrlI have been up ALL NITE trying to figure out how to crochet.
YES, CROCHET! Something children can do in their sleep. Fuck knitting, I gave up learning how to knit a LONG time ago, I already figured out that 2 needles were far too complicated.
But apparently I'm too fucking stupid to learn how to crochet either. I have the following directions to the step I'm stuck on, which is, oh, yeah, THE FIRST STEP, which make NO SENSE TO ME.
Bring the yarn over the top of the hook from back to front, catching the yarn inside the hook. Turn the hook slightly toward you to help prevent the yarn slipping off the hook. (this I can do) Pull the yarn through the loop and onto the shank. One chain is made, and one loop remains on the hook.
THIS is the part I can't get. WHAT fucking loop?! All I have on this crochet thingie is a slip-knot. A SLIP-KNOT THAT HAS NO LOOP! When I bring the thread around the back like the picture, it makes NO kind of loop. WHAT IS THIS LOOP THEY SPEAK OF?! WHY AM I TOO STUPID TO FIGURE THIS OUT?!?!?!
