1 Question and 2 Pictures...

My cousin's son turns 1 on Sunday, and they are having a party for him. I would love to make him something, but have NO IDEA what. My first thought was a blanket, but it's summer and not really blanket weather. Then I thought, maybe I could embroider bibs or something, but is 1 a little old for stuff like that? I'm at a loss. And I don't know how his room is decorated, so I can't really do anything along those lines. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

A switchplate cover I made for my bedroom, to replace the plain white one. I just bought an inexpensive metal one, covered it with clay, baked it and put gloss on it.



A penguin (it's about 2" tall) that I made for my boyfriend, as he loves penguins.
