Pants-to-Skirt #4
Here's my newest pants-to-skirt creation. These are a stretchy corduroy (a pain to work with) and had a couple of places on the leg where they have been pulled on something & become over-stretched & ripply somehow. So I turned the legs into crazy patchwork, with every seam zig-zag stitched to lay flat.

The seams are a little wobblier than I would like because of the stretchy corduroy, but not all that noticable. I like how subtle the patchwork is.

Bucky Katt in clay

Bucky and Smacky from the Get Fuzzy comics, made with Sculpy clay, painted with acrylics. When I was working sculpting him I was using a few small pics from online, I was too lazy to go upstairs & get the comic books. I knew his head should have been a little wider, but when I pulled out the books (and found a picture in the exact pose I was making!) I realized how much wider it should have been. But I like him! (I left him tail-less so he can sit in my shadowbox nicely)

Microwave Hard Candy Suckers
I posted on here earliers asking for home-made hard candy sucker help, and was fully prepared to make them on the stove again. But, when I bought some grape flavoring last night, it had directions to make them in the micorwave! I was skeptical, but it only took a few minutes so I thought it was worth a try. They turned out great (other than my over-filling of the molds) ;)

The recipe and details posted in my journal ~ http://pmthreads.livejournal.com/25216.html
