1. BEfore I buy a whole crapload, I was wondering how well these magnetic clasps work:

Has anyone had much experience?

2. Also, what's a good paint for fimo, and what's a good, long-lasting glossy polish that I can use over it? Remember the modeling clay heart that I made? My boyfriend saw it the other day and said that it looks really dull now. :( !!

3. I work in a laboratory where we go through a bunch of these things every day.

I thought that they look cool, and I really don't want to be throwing hundreds of them out. What can I make out of them?

Things that I've thought about: heating them up and bending them into shapes
Making boxed lights out of them of some sort
Cutting them somehow and possibly making jewelry or something (bracelets?)
Covering a damn wall with them, since there are that many!

Give me some ideas!!! <3

AND recently I purchased the cutest, most useful, most wonderful mp3 player in the world, and decided that it needed a cozy (I cursed those things for years, and now I've been sucked in!).

My first cozy was made of crochetted hemp and beads:

When that got old, I decided to make a softer, tighter one in, like, a half an hour:

(I also made the bracelet recently)

It works perfectly!
4. I still have a lot of that fabric left, from which I want to make a white vinyl purse, hand-sewn together with hemp string. I have never made a purse. I don't own a sewing machine. But I'm pretty confident, as long as I know that there is a slow and careful way to follow some sort of an adorable pattern to make something look unique. Any ideas??
