Jul. 6th, 2006 06:44 pmso i made something as a going-away gift for my SO, inspired by this post. we're both going to college next year at opposite ends of the good old united states, so here it is...
it's a book of what i love about him covered with a sheet of really heavy paper.
the inside. (i'd have posted more, but a lot of them are really sentimental. hehe.) the pages were cut out of normal paper using an x-acto knife; it took a little while.
the outside. i used japanese style book binding (skipping the loop up at the top and down at the bottom) and i accidentally made the holes lopsided on the front cover (but perfect on the back! >:P) so i had to cover it up. i chose to do a little "spine" thing of cream paper and ribbon. the ribbon was awfully hard to glue, since it kept stretching and twisting.
okay, so not incredibly neat, but my first time book-binding. forgive me! haha!
