I'm trying to paint a figure that should have a texture like purple velvet when finished. I'm trying to think of ways to get this texture on the figure. It's too oddly shaped to use fabric or paper (unless someone has a brilliant idea) and I've been messing about with additives to paint but haven't found anything I'm really happy with yet. So, any ideas? I'd like the finish to be as smooth as possible, with a velvet finish.
