felted sheets

get_up_dread_up community a way to felt dreads.

but i am so confused...
i bought felt sheets off of ebay because i thought i could felt my dreads that way, but maybe i was mistaken.

There are many different kinds of felting. Pretty much felting is just the process of making wool fibre into fabric. Usually people wet felt, soften it, and then rubbed it together. This creates the wool to become combined into fabric.
I did mine by dry felting. To dry felt you buy some wool felt:

Then you get a felting needle and lay the dread ontop of a foam pad and stab the felt through the dread repeatedly until it combine with the dreadlock.
am i just out of luck with my felt sheets? or is there a way to turn it into batting?
