First I built a belly dance bedlah (bra and belt) from scratch: individual cups, interfacing galore, grossgrain ribbon infrastructure and then silk and some beaded fringe. I quickly embroidered it with silver thread and performed in it. That was at least a year and a half ago. Then I decided that I needed to rip out the silver thread and really buckle down and make something more professional looking...so I started beading and beading...I got the money for some non-homemade costumes so there was no rush... a thus I burned out on beading for about 8 months.
Last week Monday I picked it up again and now it is finished (I still need to anchor in the belt lining and hooks...but here it is because I need to bask in having finished!
