[identity profile] boommonkeypants.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
My sewing machine died mid-project last night, which did not make me happy. This morning, as I was trying to finish by hand I remembered that the “table” in our foyer is actually a Singer Touch and Sew 758. (My roommate’s grandmother gave it to us when they moved to Florida.) I dusted it off and checked it out. It seems to be in great condition. The only problem is that it’s missing the foot control/power cord. I’ve looked online and at ebay and I can’t find anyone who has these available and gives a price quote on their website. Anyone have any experience buying parts for old machines? Any suggestions or recommendations of places I can look online or in NYC?

Thanks in advance.
