I've spent the majority of the last month working on a crochet pattern for a small clucth purse. I've seen improvements from Version 1 to Version 2 to Version 3, and I'm working on Version 4. Below the cut are pictures of Versions 1 and 2.

Version 1, made completely of yarn.

Version 2, made with a completely different yarn and a button

Obviously, Versions 1 and 2 both had their flaws, but I think I managed to work out most of them in Version 3

Version 3 from the front and completely finished. The tie was woven in and out of the stitch work on the bag. I wrap it over twice and then tie it in a bow.

Verison 3 from the side. The side panels have been worked up seperately from the bag every time, but this is the first time I've managed to attach them without making everything slightly crooked.

Version 3 from the inside. This is the first thing I've ever lined, and I did it by hand, which is why I'm not showing the stich work. I picked up the fabric in the leftover bin at Hobby Lobby for about a dollar.

The only downside to Version 3 is that I didn't pay quite enough attention to the length of it, so it's a bit longer than I intended. However, it's the perfect size to work as a make-up bag for when I'm traveling, and it takes up less space than my toiletries bag, so I'm calling it a win.

Comments, critiques, questions, and advice are all welcome.
