Soap Question
Aug. 2nd, 2006 09:51 amSorry for the text only post y'all, but I have a question regarding melt and pour soap making.
I've just started getting into this; have gotten some lovely molds, fragrances, and colorants, so am pretty set for materials. I've bought the soap base at Michaels so far, except for 2 lbs of olive oil base I got from brambleberry.com (where I got the molds & fragrances).
Something I've noticed with the soaps I've made (which work and smell and look great :) is that they 'sweat' after I take them out of the molds. I let them set up on the counter at room temperature and then put them in the fridge overnight, so maybe that's a factor. Or maybe the fact that it's summer affects it (though I have AC, so I don't think so). Is it the base itself? Maybe it's an inferior base?
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, and I'll put some pictures up soon!
