Knitty's Fetching - Finished!
Aug. 3rd, 2006 10:30 pmLovely! I finished my first pair (and a second!) of Knitty's "Fetching".

I unraveled the pink one (uploaded a few days ago) halfway and continued the rest in green. Neither ball of yarn had enough for two full gloves. Knittykat suggested I embroider leaves in the contrasting colors to help blend the line, and I think it turned out beautifully!
Very easy and quick knit, and a great way to practice cables and knitting on DPNs.
Paton's Jet (from Australia!) and size 5 DPNs.

I knit up this second pair of Fetching on and off over the course of two days. Again, a very easy and quick knit. I knit this using Lion Brand Wool and size 5 DPNs. These are being given to my friend Precious as part of her going-away-to-France gift.

ETA: To those who will also be knitting two-tone gloves, I switched colors after the 6th round in the "Work 18 rounds in 4x1 Rib." instructions.
