Suggestions Needed

Hi! I'm a long-time lurker here, and I finally have everything ready for a project I've wanted to finish, but I'm not sure what type of glue or adhesive to use. This is a bit different from most of the stuff I've seen here, but maybe some of you have suggestions.

I have a very large map of the world I wish to mount onto poster board, which will then cover the majority of a wall. (Later it's to be used as a way to track where I've traveled/lived, where my friends & family are, and places I still want to visit.) The problem I'm having is trying to figure out what type of adhesive to use to adhere the map (paper with cloth fibers) to the styrofoam board (corkboard is far outside my price range for a piece this size). Suggestions and advice welcome. Thanks!

EDIT: The foam board is very slippery, and I can't keep thumbtacks in to hold the edges in place. Thankfully, I have an extra pair of hands to help!
