Mask a Moo? Cow Costume?
Aug. 15th, 2006 02:17 amhaha... Hello! Long time since my last post, but I just was clearing off my digital camera disk from before I moved, and decided I should share the photos of my not-quite-latest crafty creations with you all!
(BEWARE!! LOTS OF PICTURES!!)
I got myself into a swap of Cow-themed goodies for
macaron on Swapstuff, but have since lost contact with her, it seems. I'm debating whether to put this stuff up for swap with someone else or not and wait longer for her to reply. It was sort of months ago, though, so I'm not sure.
Well at any rate,
His name is Moo!:

He's made from cow-print red fabric I found for free at a yardsale. The white horns and bow around his neck were made from white cow-print fabric, also free at the same yard sale. His hair and tail-tuft are black yarn, button eyes and joints, and a little bell (from an ex-Christmas wreath) tied around his neck with hemp twine. :)
Close-up on those cute button eyes!:

That cute Moo butt!:

His handsome bow!:

And here he is, before his eyes were finished, hanging out with "Jumbles," the ragdolly Giraffe I made for myself!:

Before completion, and with a bit of my stupid humor:

Along with some of the other things I made and/or collected to send with him - "Cow Tails" candy, cow-theme notecards, a little "How To Draw Cows" (my style) mini book, and some "Skinny Cow" temporary tattoos. Oh and art-cow stickers:

Close ups on the cards:

(with candy)
Also, one day my mom took Moo to work, to show him off as my mom likes to do (lucky me!), and a lady she works with fell in love with Moo! So much that she placed and order for Moo Too! And so here they are together:

So Moo-tastically cute!! :)
(Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I gave this lady pick-of-the-Moos, when they were both done, so actually its Moo the first that went with her, and Moo Too stuck in Swapstuff limbo, still here with me... ^_^;; Hence the slight differences you see in the photos!)
Also, there was an anime convention a few months ago, during which there was to be a Masquerade ball! My sister and her boyfriend wanted to go, and I did too until I changed my mind... And so I set to work making us all some
Here's my mask:

Regular half-face plastic mask from JoAnn's, a clip-on feather butterfly (I didn't make that part), peacock fringe, puzzle pieces painted black and some of them covered with purple glitter glue, red and purple flower-shaped ... uh... not sequins or rhinestones, but you know, those shiny prism looking things with silver backs lol!! And a bit of silver Sharpie, all glued onto a holder-stick thing. :)
Sis's mask:

(It was mostly her idea, but mostly my work, on that one) - Full face white plastic mask from JoAnn's,painted silver, veil-lace, brown and tan craft feathers, plastic pearl string, little tiny paper scrapbooking roses, silver fake flowers/leaves, stick-holder thingy, and some other shiny-object decorations
And her boyfriend's mask:

Modeled on me -

White half-face mask from JoAnn's, onto which was "grafted" a nose made from plastic canvas, Crayola model-magic clay, and lots of hot glue. Once dried, it was covered with carefully chosen and clipped bits from a Naruto manga sampler, which were Mod-Podged in place! I really love how that one came out. He wanted to keep it afterward, but I said no! :)
Enjoy! :)
