octopus pencil bag.

i found a cool bag to carry my books in for this coming semester, but it didn't have any inside or outside pockets for keeping pencils and other odds and ends from having a party all over the place. so, i made


felt appliques and embroidary. the octopus is the same as the one from a hairclip i posted a long while ago, just with different colored eyeglasses. and i have no idea what's hanging out by one of his arms.

i ganked this zipper from a skirt i was no longer using.


the inside stitching around the zipper isn't beautiful. it was my first time making something with a zipper.


the shape of the bag isn't as gross as this picture shows.
