Aug. 19th, 2006 04:50 pmAnyone reading my journal will know I've been a bit down the past few days. I'm fairly unable to concentrate on reading for more that a few chapters at a time so instead I've turned my energies to crafting. Behold the fruits of my labour.

Aren't the carrot beads cute?! Yeah they are elasticated bracletts (sp?) not wire because I haven't found any wire except over the net (shipping costs = sucky) but I'm still proud.

This is me customising a makeup bag that came free with a magazine. Now it's an ideal place to store my crafting sequins.

For a while now I've been wondering what to do with all the payment envelopes from my three bookclubs. I do my paying and editors choice selections online but I don't like to chuck fresh envelopes because you can't recycle them. Luckily they have a cute, read to live design and with a bit of tweaking the payment adress and details can be covered up to make cute, useable envelopes.

Close up showing the cute punches from my sweet and cheap new butterfly punch.

Back of the envelope (Melt into a good book cannibalised from a magazine and the purple patch at the top says "Literature is a luxury, fiction a necessity" which is a quote in defence of Penny Dreadfuls). I have about nine of these envelopes at the mo so I hope to creat some other really cute designs, featuring diverse quotes. Also as I know people don't kepp enevlopes I'm making them cost effective by only using offcuts and 10p stickers, no expensive card embellishments.

Card for my mate's 21st.
