Aug. 21st, 2006 01:11 pmMy parents and I are leaving for Chicago tomorrow. My mom bought new luggage for them and so I made luggage tags.
I'm really proud of how they turned out but feedback would be lovely! This is only my second post!
Here are both:

My mom collects mermaids and my dad collects woodie cars.
Close-up of mermaid:

I used a mermaid that I bought my mom in Ashland, Ore. for inspiration.
Woodie car:

Both tags are made of my mom's scrapbooking paper. I traced a die-cut woodie my mom had so I could make the car any color I wanted (We own a Ford '50 that's this color). After I glued the paper together with rubber cement, I sandwiched the shapes between two pieces of vinyl. The vinyl kept sticking to the throat plate of my sewing machine so I put paper under the vinyl and ripped it off when I had finished sewing. Their names and addresses are on the back, too.
I still have to make myself one but I'm lacking on inspiration and time.
