Star mirror...?

craftgrrlI've been lookin' for mirrors that I can just slice up into shapes for a while.
I don't know if any of you have seen, but Ikea has those wavey mirrors and I LOVE them. Cept...they're too expensive.
Do you think it's possible to just use an xacto knife and cut a mirror? For example those cheap locker mirrors? ...Dollar stores usually have plain mirrors right? Would they work?
I wanna make it look like this for example :
*the white part = the mirror ;)*
