Aug. 31st, 2006 11:15 pmLong-time lurker, then long time inert member to lurk minus the effort of clicking on a bookmark every day. Haha, so lazy!
Text-only! I am currently having some camera issues (i.e. don't have one that is more useful than a paperweight), but I'm hoping I can afford a new one in a month or so.
Questions:
Any suggestions for sealing Sculpey? I'm talking something absolutely waterproof that won't break down, as said sculpey item will (idealy) be completely submerged forever and ever. Will the usual suspects work? Varnish? Triple Thick glaze? I'm just not sure what will stand up to water 24/7 until the end of days.
I've seen "name on rice" jewelry and charms and things, but what exactly IS the "magnifying oil" everyone talks about being in the little vial that preserves the rice?
Thank you and good night!
