i have this thing for making vases and bud vases from old bottles, especially odd shaped ones. i sold my first collection of them and have started on a second using the things i've learned from this community.

one is decopaged with tissue paper, the rim is covered in a contrasting color with a tribal stamped and silver gilded seal. then sealed with more moge poge. turns out you can bake it at 250 for a short time (no more than 10 minutes). keep a fan on in the kitchen. when the jar cooled, the moge poge was strong and glasslike, really neat. it will be embellished by a few marbles with pictures on the back glued to foam forms to match the colors.

one is covered on the bottom with different sculpey colors, with a sun charm imbedded, and the exposed glass is painted in a stipling manner in purple glass paint. the opening is also clay covered, with glass beads imbedded.

the last is in its beginning phase, so fari have taken glass paint, squirted them inside the bottle and swirled them around. i used contrasting colors. the inside is still quite wet, but the mouth of the bottle is dry and you can see the blown glass effect it has. this one will be finished with a fluted clay opening.

i'll take another picture when they are done.
