sewing machine help!
Sep. 5th, 2006 04:26 amok, so tonight, my sewing machine decided to be...spunkier than usual. i was doing a plain-jane top stitch, when the bobbin thread started jamming like crazy. so i stop, take out the bobbin and dust the shuttle race. i start again, and about 3 stitches later, it jams again. so again, i stop and with the little door open, i watch as i manually stitch. suddenly, the needle isn't dipping down far enough to catch the bobbin thread, when it does finally catch that thread, the needle is already in the middle of an other stitch.
has this happened to anyone before?
this is the worst time for my machine to crap out on me. i have a trade show on the 16th, and i'm in the middle of my "craft cram" where i make tons of stuff to compensate for months of procrastination. ironically - i was going to use the profits from this upcoming show to get a better machine. meanwhile, i have a serger so i'm not totally screwed, but i just prefer to sew vinyl on the spunky machine. help? donations?
just kidding about the donation part, but advice would be nice. if its any matter the machine is a simplicity "fashion pro" that's only a few years old.
