craftgrrl | Popeye Blanket!

Yesterday consisted of craftiness! I went to Jo-Ann's to buy fabric to make James' pillow (I'm the girl making a pillow out of the dying baby blanket) and while there I stumbled upon this awesome Popeye fleece fabric. My husband, Jay, is a major fan of Popeye...so much so that Popeye is tattooed on his right arm :) Well the fabric I found was on clearance for $4.00 a yard, and then also 50% off...so I ended up paying $2.00 a yard! I bought 4 yards of fabric and made a double sided fleece blanket out of the fabric. My idea was to make a recliner blanket for Jay...something for him to have on him while he naps in his recliner...I am quite pleased with how it turned out :) I can't wait for Jay to get home from work tonight so that he can see it, I really think he's going to love it.

The blanket thrown onto our recliner
