sewing machine question
Sep. 5th, 2006 01:58 pmHi gals!
I hope I can ask this in the easiest way possible, as I'm terrible with explaining things...
On my sewing machine. I have a singer, newer smaller model...cheaper one from WalMart. On the presser foot thing, is there a way to make it sit less tight on the fabric? I can never seem to move my fabric around as easily as I would like while sewing. I have a project coming up where I need curves but the presser foot thing sits on the fabric like a lead weight. What should I do?
Also, do any of you have any patterns for an apron with one or two pockets in the front? I got this really cute book from Barnes and Noble that has one in there, but I would like to see other options. It will be more for when I am doing my crafting as apposed to kitchen use.
Thanks so much and I am loving everyones little crafty things you have been posting. :)

*EDIT:
Also, do any of you know where I can find a foot to help with edge sewing...I can't think of the name...but when I am sewing two peices together and need a nice straight edge...I need a foot for that. I checked singer's website and found NOTHING. I can't make a straight line for the life of me. Thanks so much.
