Last night I finally finished the scarf I was making for my grandmother (now I just have to make one for my best friend, my brother, and my friend's mom!). Then I tried my hand at making some wristbands.

I knit this in a simple rib pattern (knit one, purl one etc). I bought the yarn because it was clearance for 3 dollars. The main colour in it is a khakish green but the other colour changes from turquoise, to purple, to brown, to burnt umber throughout. I know it's a little drab but then it's for an 85 year old woman and she likes muted colours.

I made this one first, it's 24 stitches wide, rib, 3 rows black, three rows white alternating. I knit it all then stitched it together with wool.

This one is also 24 stitches, and ribbed but I put the black and red yarn together and knitted them as if they were one yarn. Next time I make a wristband with two yarns together I will use less than 24 stitches because I think the fact that it's two together made it thicker than the first cuff I made and therefore it's a little too loose for me now.
