Iron-on transfer paper
Sep. 8th, 2006 01:05 amHas anyone here used "transfer magic" Ink Jet iron-on transfer paper before with a LASER printer?
I am trying to make a bag with all of the sleater-kinney albums printer on it, and the easiest way I can think of acheiving this is with iron-on transfer paper. I used it before with my dad's computer and ink jet printer, and it worked great.
But that is all gone now, and I have a macintosh and a laser printer, and there are no transfer papers that I can find for a laser printer, and all of this crap is incompatible. I don't know anyone else at the moment that has an ink-jet printer either (most people I know don't even have a computer actually).
I am wondering if it would get all messed up since the printer uses toner, and not ink?
There is paper for laser color copiers too (which say specifically that they cannot be used with a laser PRINTER, for who knows why), but copy places seem to have a cow if you don't have the rights/written permission to use the images. It's for ONE BAG, an homage to the recently broken up band.
All I know is this project got really complicated really fast because of my stupid laser printer. Pffffft! But I already bought everything for it, so I am wondering if anyone has any experience or advice on the matter?
Any info you can give me would be great! Thanks so much!
