Someone in this community awhile back made the "Fetching" gloves from Knitty.com, and in the comments of that entry she encouraged me to make them as well--I'm sorry I've forgotten your username, but thank you! I tackled them as a birthday present to my mom and they turned out awesomely if I do say so myself...



I had to make sure they were properly arm-sized before I bothered finishing them!


DPNs were hard for me to get the hang of--there's not really a good way of putting them down!


Very Photoshopped to show cable detail. I probably shouldn't have tackled DPNs and cables both for the first time in the same project, but I came out sane in the end. *twitch*


Mom modeling the gloves in front of my fishtank... They should be a nice winter thing for her since she works in a very cold warehouse-style building but needs her fingers to be able to dial the phone and write and stuff.


I also recently tackled this Galaxy shirt from Crochetme.com, as a birthday present to a friend.

Oh little shirt, what will you turn into?


A mess of strings and pins, clearly!


And eventually a funky tanktop! I'm still waiting for said friend to get the box this shirt is in, but I'm hoping she'll like it =)
