hey guys! i just wanted to show you what i did to a boring white lamp my mom found at goodwill for 3 dollars.
at first i really wanted to paint it, and was waiting for the perfect inspiration of what to paint on it. but then i was holding up one of my collages and freaked out when i saw how much prittier it was when light was shining through it. SOOOOOOO i decided to collage it :D

what it says: "lets pretend we own the world today" if anyone knew that was from a bikini kill song, you should pat yourself on the back, because you are officially cool.

this is the base. i wanted to keep it simple on account of the crazy-busy look of the shade but i made sure i put some dinosaur ribbon on there. the dots are dotted tissue paper that i put on with a mixture of glue, water, and some leftover paint from putting letters on the shade, which is why the veins of the paper looks really awesome.

detail of a patch my good friend made me of some crazy robots, with strawberry fabric under it, which shines though, and you can see crazy robots AND strawberries...at the same time...my life is complete.

a different angle, i thought this pictue is important to show exactly how awesome it is.

detail of a stegosaurus that i drew on some paper and put on there. they are unquestionably my favorite dinosaur, and its fun to see my buddy hanging out with starlight shining though him!(sorry for blurr D: )

detail of a picture of an old poster of a girl on a bike and the remainder of some coffee themed tissue paper, which i used to have a lot of, but used it all because its amazingly cool.

i really want this to not be a fire hazard, if it is, you guys should tell me, and tell me how to fix it, please :)
