sculpy w/ mosaic?

craftgrrlhas anyone ever tried baking sculpy with mosaic pieces on it? would the mosaic get hotter than the sculpy and sink down/make a hole? would it be better to make imprints of each mosaic piece on the sculpy, and glue them on afterwards?
or would you suggest something else?
