using real fruit in a project...
Apr. 12th, 2002 04:37 pmhas anyone ever used real fruit in a project? i know it's not common because fruit rots after awhile, but...well, i should explain what i'm trying to do first. for my final project in design, i'm constructing a baby from conception to birth. each stage is going to be put into a box that's going to be connected to 5-10 other boxes and will fold out onto the floor. and for the first stage, when a baby is just a couple of cells, i wanted to perhaps use peaches or some other type of fruit with a good sized pit. but i'm afraid the peaches will rot after a good time, and i know bloody well plastic fruit probably contains no pit. my other option is to just use the pit and construct the rest of the cell out of modelling clay (i am racking up a lot of modelling clay in this project).
