Monster Wreaths, Robot's and octopodes!
Oct. 13th, 2006 12:02 pmI've been able to craft a lot more lately, so under the cut is a monster wreath, a robot stuffy and a crochet octopus!
My cousin has been in and out of the hospital lately, so I made her a "Feel Better Bot". It's about 7 inches tall, not including legs...and on the back I embroidered "Feel Better Soon" and a little heart. It's actually a neon pink color but the sun washed out the brightness. The head is hand sewn...that's why it looks a little Frankenstein-ish....the body is sewn with a sewing machine, but the edges turned out a bit wavy, but eh I'm new to sewing so I guess I just have to practice :)

It's not quite as tall because I lost count of the stitches (silly boys think they can talk while I'm crocheting heh) but I still think it turned out alright. It's for my cousin since her dad died a few weeks ago....so I tried to personalize it to look anime-ish. I'm not the hugest fan of anime so I wasen't sure what to put I know she loves Inuyasha so I was going to maybe put Inuyasha ears on it but I thought that would look a little to weird so I went with the anime face instead lol. When I was sewing the legs on I didin't even think to only attach the top, now they are stiff and don't dangle....but that's ok since he will probably be on a desk somewhere his whole life The sun kind of washed it out, but it's a deep lime/spring green color!

Using Callakat's tutorial on Craftster I made a monster wreath! It is like the easiest project ever. I bought 3/4 of a yard of fur at Joanne's, went to Wal-Mart and bought 12 ping pong balls and I already had the plastic bags (for stuffing) glue gun, and ribbon. It's pretty large so it is more of an oval shape, but I love it nonetheless :)

Here's my fiance modeling it for me...
