Advice on Photographing Buttons
Oct. 18th, 2006 02:39 pmCan anyone advise me on how to get good, professional-looking photos of one inch buttons? I have a lightbox and I tried taping them to a white piece of poster board and standing it up to take pictures but there's still too much of a glare. I tried scanning them but there's a glare when I do it that way too. I've seen it done before, I know people have succeeded in photographing buttons but I am feeling extremely inept here. Nothing I've tried is working at all. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
And just to make this a little more interesting, here's something I've made:

It started out as a really hideous vintage necklace that I got for 25 cents at a yard sale. I guess it's arguably still hideous if you aren't into the chunky grandma jewelry trend, but I am so I like it.
