Snakes on a mutha-effin' plane!
Oct. 29th, 2006 06:45 pmSo I went as "Snakes on a plane" this year. Went to a concert last night where everyone was dressed up. There were some really great costumes. But I incorporated the boys in the band who played that night (they're the other passengers in the plane windows). I got a ton of compliments and I was the only one dressed from that movie so I'm happy with it. I especially love my duct tape skirt :)
pics!!

for the shirt, I just printed pics onto Iron-on sheets and ironed them directly on. it was super quick and easy. The quote was done in fabric paint.

the "plane parts" include wings, a tail and a propeller cap all made with foam. I glued dollar store snakes onto all of them. The wings stayed on my arms with elastic. And the beanie was just bobby pinned to my hair. it stayed on just fine

My friend went as a Hooters girl (obviously) and I made the hot wing plate for her (posted a while back). my other friend went as an old-time person and I was quite shocked to find he sewed that vest and the garters by hand! All by himself! The stitching underneath looked horrible. but it stayed together well and you couldn't tell it wasn't store bought. Big time kudos to him for his first craft project!!
