Anyone from Italy?

When I was in Italy this summer, in the main touristy areas (Venice especially) there were peddlers selling these... moldable balloon animal... creature things. I didn't buy one because I thought I could figure it out and make one, but haven't even found mention of them online for a picture reference. I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture.

So. Does anyone live in Italy? Have you seen or bought these to play with? Have a picture?

Or has anyone anywhere made these in school? It reminded me of when you put flour into a balloon for a stress ball. Is it something like that?
