Knitting Question

craftgrrlI am making a 'Squarey' from Jess Hutch's 'Unusual Toys for you to Knit and Enjoy' and I'm almost done the back part. Now it says to mattress stitch the sides together which isn't a problem, but it says to 'False Graft' the cast on and cast off edges together and I cannot find ANYTHING anywhere on what the heck this means.
Anyone?
