made from an old wool coat i threw in the washer to felt and lined with brown wool suiting. i made the pattern myself.
i'll have you know many a tear and expletive went into making this hat... i've been sewing for 19 years and i can't figure out how to get the brim to look like i wanted it to. but this will do. it is suitably akin to what i was shooting for. which was a less flamboyant version of this mongolian hat.

i was gonna add a tassle to the top and snap-in ear flaps with little tassles, but i'd probably never wear it that way.
