How to make\add appliques?

craftgrrlOkay so i was thinking about adding a bow applique to my tshirt. Thing is IDK how i would go about all the different parts. I wanted the circular bit in the middle to be different fabrics.

The parts in diff colors would be diff fabrics aswell.
And here is an example of someone elses.
Not a bow but a flower using the same principal.
Help Anyone?
