Nov. 28th, 2006 03:20 pmHi there!
I only post once in a blue moon, so I might seem like a newcomer but I've been lurking and admiring everyone's beautiful work for years! :)
I mostly crochet, but my boyfriend recently bought me an adorable little sewing machine, just like this one and it works like a charm so I decided to take on a sewing project. I wanted some X-mas stockings and couldn't find anything that really fit my style so I went fabric shopping. I chose a giant houndstooth pattern with a black velvet cuff. My boyfriend went for the flocked brown design with a brown fur cuff. He said it reminded him of the wallpaper inside Disney's haunted mansion, heh.

I didn't use a pattern so they're a little sloppy, but they'll do the job. That little sewing machine definitely has its limitations but it's a good starter machine. I do plan on upgrading to more heavy duty machine in the future.
Can anybody recommend a good sewing machine that isn't very complicated?
Thanks
-Dinah
