Stuffed animals!

I am very new to sewing. My grandmother worked in a factory for 20+ years, however, so she is helping me get started and teaching me on her big, nice (if somewhat antiquated) machine.

I found this pattern at a local thrift store:




It was dated 1964, and I thought the animals were super-cute. Since my sister is having a baby in a couple of months, I decided it was time to try these fellas out.







Hopefully it's obvious that it's the little ol' lion. It's cross-eyed and lumpy, but I'm proud of it!
