I have never posted anything I have made, although I have asked a lot of questions! Thanks for being such a creative, inspirational group!

I made these for my girlfriends. I used a 99cent glazed plantpot from Ikea on which I painted acrylic hearts and xoxo's, then I filled the pot with chocolates and a wooden doweled mesh heart also from Ikea, also for 99cents I believe. These were finds that [livejournal.com profile] zeisgeist and I scored in anticipation for V Day. I think they turned out cute!

I made these

based on a question someone posted on what to do with Jones soda bottle pics and bottlecaps. I suggested she make fortune boxes with the labels decoupaged on the tops and the fortune cap on the underside. I liked my idea, so I tried it out. I used red and pink tissue paper to emulate rose petals by decoupaging it all over the box and tearing it off in some areas when it was dry. It is hard to see, but it actually created a handmade paper effect so it looked like the box was made out of textured paper. I filled the boxes with cinnamon red hot hearts and jelly bellies in pink white and red. They were 3-D valentines! They got rave reviews.

Thanks for letting me share!
