so. i'm moving out next month and i finally get to do neat grown up things like paint my walls whatever color i damn well please.
and being that i am painting everything i own brown, i wnat to paint my computer. especially my computer. because its ancient, huge and hideous. much like most technological inventions. if they could make a nice wooden or wrought iron computer casing, i would be pleased.

but my question is this: is it even a good idea to paint a computer? i know they can get warm. would the cause a problem with the paint? and what about painting the enormous monitor? i don't want to spray paint it lest the paint spray inside through the vents. i could use a paintbrush of course, but i'm still concerned about drippage.
anyone done this before?

if i fuck up, its no skin off my teeth because i got this thing for free from freegeek so its not like i'm losing any money. but i'd rather not because its the computer with the FUN stuff on it, whereas my laptop is my music box.
